We’re excited to share that Global Science and Technology, LLC — a subsidiary of GTSC — has achieved CMMI Maturity Level 3 (ML3) for the Services Domain. This is an important milestone that reflects the hard work, collaboration and commitment to quality across our family of companies.

CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) is a globally recognized framework for evaluating and improving organizational process maturity. Achieving Maturity Level 3 indicates that an organization has defined, consistent processes that are applied across projects and services to support quality and performance.

Achieving CMMI Maturity Level 3 confirms that GST has defined and consistent processes in place that support quality execution, reduce risk and improve outcomes for our customers. It reinforces our credibility and strengthens our position as we continue to grow.

This achievement was truly a team effort. The appraisal would not have been possible without the outstanding support and partnership of many individuals who contributed their time, expertise and energy throughout the process.

Building Organizational Capability Through CMMI Training

As part of GTSC’s ongoing commitment to strengthening our quality practices and increasing organizational maturity, the Quality Programs team recently coordinated a three‑day CMMI Building Organizational Capability training for employees across the company.

The training brought together 10 participants from Quality Programs, Operations, Recruiting, Contracts and Finance, reflecting a deliberate, cross‑functional approach to process improvement and maturity growth. By engaging leaders and practitioners from different parts of the organization, GTSC is ensuring that CMMI principles are understood, applied and sustained well beyond a single appraisal.

Why This Training Matters

CMMI is not just a certification. It is a framework for how an organization consistently plans, executes, measures and improves its work. This training focused on building shared understanding of organizational capability, helping participants see how individual roles, projects and functions connect to broader quality objectives.

By investing in this training, GTSC is developing internal expertise that will help:

  • Strengthen consistency across programs and departments
  • Improve how processes are defined, followed and improved
  • Reduce risk and support predictable, high‑quality outcomes for customers
  • Sustain and advance our maturity across quality practices over time

What We Learned

Over the three days, participants explored how CMMI practices work together at the organizational level. The training emphasized:

  • How defined processes support repeatable success
  • The importance of measurement, analysis and governance
  • The role leadership and cross‑functional collaboration play in maturity growth
  • How organizational assets are created, used and improved

Equally important, the training created space for discussion and shared learning across departments, helping participants understand how quality practices show up differently, but connect meaningfully across operations, recruiting, contracts and finance.

Applying This at GTSC

The knowledge gained from this training will directly support GTSC as we continue to mature our quality practices. Participants will serve as champions and contributors, helping translate CMMI concepts into practical application within their teams and functions. This includes reinforcing consistent processes, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and helping others understand how quality practices enable, not hinder, successful delivery.

By building this internal capability, GTSC is positioning itself not only to maintain its current maturity, but to grow thoughtfully and sustainably as the organization evolves.
